Please support my challenge to protect Aussie wildlife!

I’m Walking on the Wild Side because Australian native animals urgently need our help – and I’m hoping you’ll support me!

By taking on the challenge this April, I’m raising vital funds to provide emergency rescue and care for injured, orphaned and displaced native animals.

I’ll be helping to keep the WIRES Wildlife Rescue Office open 24/7, so injured animals receive a swift emergency rescue, when every minute truly counts. Our funds will also help resource their fleet of Wildlife Ambulances, and support their thousands of volunteers with training, rescue equipment and daily wildlife food!

Please sponsor me generously. Together we'll provide critical rescue and care for thousands of distressed native animals over the coming months, giving them a second chance of life in the wild. Thank you!

The Tassie Devil

Saturday 21st Mar
There’s something about Tasmanian devils that has completely stolen my heart. Every time I visit Tasmania, I make it a priority to spend time with these fascinating little powerhouses—whether that’s visiting a sanctuary, joining a guided feeding, or just soaking up every bit of information I can. I love learning something new each trip, and trust me, there’s always more to discover. Despite their reputation (and that iconic screech), Tassie devils are incredibly complex creatures. They’re the world’s largest carnivorous marsupial, play a crucial role in keeping ecosystems clean as scavengers, and have one of the strongest bite forces for their size in the animal kingdom. Watching them interact—those grumbles, growls, and surprisingly social dynamics—is equal parts chaotic and captivating. Next to dogs, they’re hands down my favourite animal. There’s just something about their raw energy, resilience, and uniqueness that keeps me coming back for more. Tasmania will always have a special place in my heart because of them.

Walking for wildlife

Sunday 15th Mar
Over the years of holidaying in Tasmania, my love as passion for wildlife and the ecosystem has grown. I love learning anything about wildlife and how we can better navigate this world for their benefit. To keep them all thriving in the wild as they should be.
I am a small business owner and dog walker. I love being out in nature and exploring what stunning places this country has to offer us! We need to do our bit to protect and look after the wildlife and ecosystem that was here long before any of us xx
