How It Works

about Walk on the wild side

Right now, thousands of sick, injured, and orphaned native animals need urgent care. Australia’s native animals are facing an extinction crisis. More than 1,900 species are at risk - including koalas, wombats, and quolls.

By joining Walk on the Wild Side and making your pledge to walk 50km, 100km, or 150km this April, you can help to give these innocent animals a second chance at life in the wild.

WIRES has been caring for our wildlife for over 35 years, and every dollar raised helps fund critical rescues and life-saving care to save and protect our native wildlife.
