Support my walk to save and protect our wildlife

This April, I am taking part in Walk on the Wild Side to support our scaly, furry and feathered friends.

Australian native animals are in crisis. More than 1,900 of our plant and animal species are threatened with extinction, including our iconic koalas, which are now endangered in many parts of Australia.

I'm conquering this challenge to raise funds for WIRES to give sick, injured and orphaned native animals their second chance of life in the wild.

Every year, WIRES responds to almost 150,000 urgent calls for help and assistance for animals in distress.

Your donation will ensure they can continue to rescue, rehabilitate and release our native wildlife and fund critical rescues and life-saving care.

Please DONATE NOW and support my challenge to save and protect our wildlife.

Day 8

Wednesday 9th Apr
A beautiful Brisbane day - so happy to have some lovely sunshine without the blistering heat from summer! Lots of cute doggies with big smiles today - everyone seems to lvoe the camera. Completed a final stroll in Spring Hill to end off the day with a decent amount of steps. Another successful day :)

Day 7

Wednesday 9th Apr
Gorgeous sunny Monday in Brisbane and the doggies were all excited for a trip to the park. Got two city walks with my favourite Pumba and Snoop as well as our usual stroll then snuggle with Nala. Quick solo walk around New Farm in the afternoon to end off a marvellous Monday.

Day 6

Wednesday 9th Apr
Travel day: Melbourne --> Brisbane. Light duties today as I head home, recovery for the Sunday. Excited for an upcoming big week of walking!

Day 5

Wednesday 9th Apr
Big day in Melbourne for day 5 - walking through 3 major gardens in the city: Carlton Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens and the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. Amazing scenery and relaxing weather to get a big mileage in.

Day 4

Wednesday 9th Apr
Another day exploring in Melbourne; went on a mystery picnic around St Kilda and Prahran to get the main steps in the day. Love getting lots of kms in but also some yummy treats as a reward in the St Kilda Botanical Gardens!

Day 3

Thursday 3rd Apr
Currently out exploring Melbourne with my sister, easy way to get the kms in. One quarter of the way to my goal of 200km, feeling so happy and thankful for all the donations. Just proud to raise some funds for a great cause

Day 2

Thursday 3rd Apr
Bit of a rainy day in Brisbane but that wasnt going to deter getting the kms in. Big shoutout to all the dogs who braved the rain with me (despite them clearly missing the sunny weather). Six big dog walks helping me get closer to my goal!

Day 1

Tuesday 1st Apr
5x dog walks and an evening stroll from Kangaroo Point to Hawthorne to kick off Day 1. Not a bad mileage but on to day 2!
