Challenge: If anyone is able to donate $300; I will commit to walking 300kms this month!

Throughout April, I am taking part in Walk on the Wild Side to support Australian Wildlife.

Australian native animals are in crisis and Wires cares, with your help they can do even more! I'm completing this challenge to raise funds for WIRES to give sick, injured and orphaned native animals their second chance of life in the wild. 

Every year, WIRES responds to almost 150,000 urgent calls for help and assistance for animals in distress. Your donation will ensure they can continue to rescue, rehabilitate and release our native wildlife and fund critical rescues and life-saving care.

Your donation is tax deductable and will make a massive difference.

35kms done! Found a crab in a rock pool! Walking is the best way to connect you to nature.

Day 4 - 30kms done!

Friday 4th Apr
Fingers crossed someone accepts my challenge: 300kms for a $300 donation to WIRES.

I need to bank 10kms a day, as such I will need to hustle this weekend to keep that dream alive!

I’d walk 500kms if my legs would let me.

Wires is an amazing volunteer organisation; I have experienced firsthand the work that is done to support wildlife in distress. Our local vet collaborated with Wires to take a juvenile ring-tailed possum into care after a cat attack at my home. 

If we can raise enough money to fit out 10 emergency response vehicles throughout this campaign, I will be overjoyed. 

Thank you for supporting Wires, I will gladly walk for every cent donating this is the very least that I can do to help.
