WIRES Wildlife Rescue is preparing for a long, hot and dangerous season, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) and Australasian Fire Authorities Council (AFAC) warning of an increased risk of heatwaves and significant bushfires.
With both September and October recording unprecedented temperatures, the WIRES Wildlife Rescue Office has been answering up to 1,000 urgent calls a day, a significant increase on the year before. Rescue teams and volunteer carers are dealing with rising numbers of affected and orphaned native animals, and our Incident Response Teams are on high alert.
RAFFLE DATES
The raffle closes at 8PM (AEST) on Sunday 29th October 2023.
The winners for each prize will be chosen at random by electronic draw at 1PM (AEST) on Monday 30th of October 2023 at WIRES, Suite 1-5, 117 Old Pittwater Rd Brookvale. Entrants do not need to be present to win.
Winners will be notified by phone and via email within 2 days of the winner being drawn.

Is the raffle ticket purchase tax deductible?
No, your raffle ticket purchase is not tax deductible as you're receiving a tangible benefit in return. However, if you choose to make a donation in addition to your raffle ticket purchase, the donation can be claimed as a tax deduction.
Who can enter the raffle?
Entry is open to all permanent residents of NSW only aged 18 years or older.
When and how is the raffle drawn?
The raffle will close at 8PM (AEST) on Sunday 29th of October 2023.

How much money goes to WIRES?
All of the funds raised through the sale of the raffle tickets goes directly to WIRES East branch, after the expenses of the raffle are subtracted. Every ticket purchased helps WIRES to continue it's 24/7 Wildlife Rescue Service.
If I win how do I collect the prize?
Members from WIRES East branch will be in contact with prize winners to arrange prize collection.
