Australia’s preparing for a long, hot summer and our 24/7 Rescue Line is already receiving hundreds of distressed calls every day, as vulnerable native animals fall victim to extreme heat, lack of rain and deadly bushfires.
We’re doing everything we can to reach the native animals who need our help.
The WIRES Giving Day was a unique chance for our community to help us accelerate and sustain our dedicated Wildlife Emergency Response – across Australia – and throughout the dangerous fire season ahead.
The gifts received will help us keep our Wildlife Rescue Office open 24/7, will resource our growing fleet of Wildlife Ambulances with expert Emergency Responders and will help us distribute life-saving Disaster Relief to wildlife carers across Australia.

Our Wildlife Rescue Office is open 24/7. We're training more experts to answer urgent calls, so distressed native animals receive a prompt response, when every second counts. Your support will help us answer thousands of urgent calls this season.

We have a growing fleet of Wildlife Ambulances fully equipped with life-saving medical and rescue supplies. Your support will make sure these are restocked swiftly, and resourced to travel vast distances, reaching native animals in desperate need.
provide disaster relief
Our far-reaching Disaster Relief Program, supported by our partner Woolworths distributes vital supplies to carers across Australia whenever disaster strikes. Your support will help provide carers with more of the specialist wildlife foods they need.
