🌏 Walk on the Wild Side with CCC Youth – We’re Stepping Up for Wildlife!

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters we walk on. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal Land. We are proud to walk in solidarity with First Nations communities and support Indigenous-led conservation.

We are the Capricorn Conservation Council Youth Sub Committee (CCC YSC)—a passionate team of young people from Central Queensland, standing up for wildlife, Country, and the climate.

This April, we’re taking part in WIRES' Walk on the Wild Side 2025, and we’re inviting you to walk with us (or support us from wherever you are!). Every dollar we raise helps rescue and rehabilitate Australia’s injured and endangered wildlife. 🐨🦘🦅

💬 Why We're Walking

We’re walking for:

• The animals that can’t speak for themselves

• The forests that are shrinking every year

• The future of our planet

• And our generation—the ones inheriting it all

We believe young people should be heard and seen in conservation. That’s why we take action across our schools, communities, and Country—restoring habitat, speaking up for threatened species, and learning from Elders and Traditional Custodians.

We are not waiting for change. We are creating it.
