I've come to realise running a fundraiser right around Christmas may not have been the best of ideas but I'm hopeful that maybe we can reach or goal by December 31st🙏🙏

Your donation will help our branch cover the costs of the following things:

> Vet fees - Though we have a wonderful network of local vets who give so much freely there are some specialised procedures & medications that have to be paid for
> Aviaries for Bats, Birds & Possums
> Humidicribs for Baby Bats, Birds & Possums
> Custom built & specialised URS Enclosures for Snakes & Reptiles
> Specialised Tubs & equipment for Echidnas & Turtles
> Purpose built Pre-release compounds for Wombats
> Specialised Portable Release enclosures for Kangaroos & Wallabies
> Ongoing costs of food & replacing equipment such as Thermostats, heat lamps/globes/mats

Thursday 23rd Nov
So the big day has arrived & we dyed my hair green!! & my Hair has rebelled!! 🤣 we didn't go light enough by the looks of things, but I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!! Go Green reset for the 28th when we try a brighter/lighter green.

I also came to realise that maybe starting a fundraiser right before Christmas may not have been such a great idea lol so lets see if I can turn $357 into  $500 by 30th of November 🙏  🥰

Update on Baby Blue NAME THE BABY BLUE TONGUE (RUNS TILL 27th NOV)

After a week of injections he is doing really well, started to move around his tank using his front legs & he has started flicking his tongue out & eating soft food.

The countdown till the 23rd is on!!
So because I have dark hair a bit of prep needed to be done to go green on Thursday & my Big Sister has had fun this week getting me ready, she has chosen the green we'll use & sat me down for 2 sessions of "Blonding" to get my hair light enough

This little guy was found with fibres wrapped around tongue, head & front legs.  He underwent surgery to remove the tip of his tongue which had become necrotic (dead tissue).  He needs daily injections for a week & will be in care for 2-3 weeks. 

Blue Tongues are very hardy & amazing healers, we get a lot come into care with lost limbs & tails & the majority of them make a full recovery & are released after a few weeks in care fully able to adapt & survive
